There are few things in the design world that stay consistent. Trends change, new products emerge and classic designs are constantly reinterpreted. But despite the constant stream of changes, there is one thing that has remained Classically Current – black and white. This sophisticated and timeless color combination is not only striking and bold but the ideal match for any color palette. It provides the perfect base for any design that both minimalists and traditional interior lovers will appreciate.
A Timeless Duo
Bernhardt floral inlay dining table
Bernhardt always brings it to High Point Market with their new collections and this year was no different. I fell in love with this Vivian Inlay dining table, it is one of my faves from HPMKT! In fact, I’m wanting to use this in my own home, The Boulevard Show House! I love the ornate black & white details of this piece and it can just picture it sitting pretty in my breakfast area now.
Nathan Anthony fringe accent chair
Throw on a little fringe and this chair has some personality! Add in a brightly-colored throw pillow and this chair becomes the highlight of the space. Just make sure your family pet doesn’t have a thing for strings …
I’ve always been a little obsessed with all things black and white, but after discovering all these new pieces I’m even more excited about these colors. Here’s a look at a few of the gorgeous pieces I found at High Point Market.
Bernhardt geometric cubes
Made Goods floral bone inlay chair
AFK – spotted bunk bed for a little girl’s room
John Richard Selenite Orb and Crystal Cube accent lamp
We could go on…
Of course, this post could go on forever because black and white pieces were present in almost every showroom at Market. It makes for the perfect foundation to introduce new colors into the palette throughout your home and never goes out of style. Trust me, you’ll be seeing lots of black and white in our BLVD Show House next Spring!
