Have you ever walked into a room and felt like something was missing? Chances are it felt that way because there wasn’t a rug in the room. Whether you want to add a bit of texture, incorporate a dash of color or tie everything together, rugs are a fabulous way to make the room feel complete.
Can you believe that we are in October?! The team is really excited about the arrival of fall and it finally starting to feel cooler during the day. We’re all definitely looking forward to the cozy weather and being able to wear our favorite fall fashions.
This month the team began work on some new client projects and I had the opportunity to head out to California for a few days for a site visit – so exciting! One of my favorite things about starting a new project is getting to uncover our client’s story and finding unique ways to bring their story to life through their home’s design.
Going out to meet friends for a cocktail is always fun, but I love having an in house bar where people can come over and enjoy drinks at our home. When it comes to creating the perfect at home bar, you want to make sure it’s stocked not only with your favorite wines and liquors, but with all the other barware essentials you need to host a fabulous evening.
I love visiting Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales when I’m searching for great barware and accessories. They have amazing pieces in all different styles, so whether you’re creating a space with a mid-century vibe or one that’s more modern, you can find what you need.
In today’s post I want to share a few pieces I think every at home bar needs.
Last week, the team and I kicked off August with a trip to the Las Vegas Market. It was a very busy three days, but it was tons of fun! I got to do guided tours of the Global Views, Four Hands and Zuo showrooms, do an #viewonvegas Instagram takeover for IMC Market Centers, and I had the pleasure of participating in the Luxe Interiors + Design Ahead of the Curve Panel.
Turning to the next page in our calendar is a reminder that fall is just around the corner, but the heatwave we’re experiencing makes it hard to believe that summer will ever end! Luckily, I was able to escape the heat for a bit. I took a week off this month just to veg out with my family, get out of town and relax. While it was wonderful to get away, I’m ready to see what the rest of the summer has in store.
“GAAAASSP. Seriously. I just sucked in air over this paper” That is pretty much how the entire team felt when we laid our eyes on this stunning Heron Wall Paper.
The month of May was very exciting, but we’re looking forward to the slightly slower pace that summer brings! This month we finally moved into our new home, the girls graduated from Kindergarten, the team continued working on some fun client projects and Letecia and I made a quick trip up to NYC to visit the International Contemporary Furniture Fair.
