Marketing Director

Description:

The Marketing Director at Laura U Design Collective is responsible for the firm’s marketing, communications, and business development strategy. This highly critical role tells the story of design in digital and print media, while at the same time ensuring our brand message is consistent internally. We are seeking a storyteller, someone who weaves our love of home and passion for the creative experience throughout every piece of collateral we produce. The Marketing Director reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

Position Requirements:

  • Responsible for overarching marketing and business development strategy
    • Direct our brand messaging via social media, website and blogs, email marketing, advertising, and print media
    • Lead SEO strategy and trend research to develop full-scale content plans
    • Build the annual content calendar, and assign content to the correct resources
    • Oversee the promotional plans for design projects, as well as effectively communicate our process, team, and mission through marketing collateral, digital media (website, social)
    • Manage and maintain the sales pipeline
    • Improve the marketing qualified lead process
    • Seek out strategic partnerships in new markets, while nurturing current partnerships with a focus on growth and new projects
  • Lead, manage, and be accountable for marketing team, including social media coordinator and contracted support (e.g., copywriter, photographers)
  • Direct and allocate resources to promote special projects
    • Show house marketing
    • Direct-to-client initiatives, like client gifting
  • Oversee public relations efforts
    • Field incoming press leads and pursue editorial opportunities
    • Coordinate press inquiries and interviews
    • Write press releases and distribute via digital and print channels
  • Manage vendor relationships
    • Nurture vendor partnerships by actively seeking collaboration opportunities
    • Nurture market relationships by actively seeking opportunities for LUDC to share thought leadership with industry
  • Responsible for building marketing budget and holding team accountable for costs
  • Researching and executing new agreements with contracted photographers, graphic design

Education and Training:

  • BA in Marketing, Communications, Business or similar
  • Google Analytics certification, Hubspot certification, and/or Blueprint certification a plus
  • Agency experience a plus
