So, November flew right by! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. We’ve had a ton to be thankful for this year at the Laura U Studio. From the ASID Awards to exciting progress on projects and installs, to the massive (and exciting) undertaking that is the Boulevard Show House. This year has definitely been a busy and eventful one. So as we wrap up this month and welcome in the Holidays with cozy sweaters and Holiday music, let’s take a look at what has the Laura U team obsessing this past month!
“One of the parts of a project I love the most is when we source lighting. I think that lighting can truly transform a space and the right lighting makes quite the impact. The Aura Pendant designed by Alison Berger is my obsession this month. I love this fixture for its sleek and sophisticated presence. The pendant looks simple from the front and then when you see it from the side you realize that it is a multi-piece fixture with a more complex design.”

Fashion Transfers to Interiors!
“I’m currently obsessing over the new Chanel 2018 Resort Handbag Collection – pleated lines, soft colors and beautiful textures!!! Let’s just say I’m inspired by fashion this month. I can see using any of these elements (color, texture, print) in an interior application such as pillows, upholstery, and mosaic tile.”

The Whimsical. The Colorful.
“November has me inspired by color. My Current obsession is Marigold! It’s a cheerful yellow that is warm enough to be used in any fall color palette!”
– Lexi Fink, Associate Designer
“How cute is this Bouffants wallpaper? I love this fun design by Kendra Dandy. It is so unique and playful – I can just imagine all of the cool ways to use this in our designs. It would be perfect for a fun powder or closet!”
– Shenay Keyes, Lead Interior Designer
“My current obsession is the accent poufs by the Milanese designer Lorenza Bozzoli. These poufs are made in a variety of different colors making them perfect for an accent in just about any space. Not only are they are the perfect pop of color and texture, but they can serve as either a side table with a cute tray atop or a stool in a kids space.”
– Krysten Westby-Cole, Associate Designer
