This modern Museum District home is inspired by the homeowners’ bold Mid-Century style. The clients loved deeply pigmented turquoise and orange, very evocative of the trendsetting 1960’s. Our design team found inspiration in this palette with a more subdued touch, resulting in a rich, textured interior.
The home stands out for its abundant textures, particularly soft velvets, which can be found throughout the 3-story space. In the master bedroom, thoughtful nods to Art Deco design create an environment that is inviting and reminiscent of timeless glamour. Fierce blues pop against the permeating gray of the second floor, with the large scale art piece consuming the eye. This is a sophisticated and comfortable home that speaks to the family’s need for an urban retreat that is both elegant and livable.
