This new construction home is located in the Memorial area of Houston. Surrounded by forested trails, the residence is home to art aficionados who adore color and the mid-century era. Sandy tones highlight a colorful art collection and contrast warmly against aubergine, plum, and mauve shades. Our client’s favorite color is purple, and convinced us that in lighter saturations it could definitely be considered a neutral hue. You will find that to be the case throughout this home. Woven throughout, purple connects both cool and warm tones for an energy that is light and inviting.
Being big entertainers, the clients requested that the center of their home be a hub for all gatherings. With dual islands and 4 large pendants from Troy Lighting, the room has a commanding presence without feeling overwhelming. The Benedettini cabinetry seamlessly blends into the contemporary style, while Caesarstone counters embody a modern effortlessness. Perhaps our favorite features are the plastered walls: one at the fireplace surround and one in the master. From Segreto Finishes, the plaster results in a singular experience: handmade movement that adapts to the changes in natural light, creating something new from day to night. By blending benchmade touches with more industrial finishes, we were able to successfully achieve an interior that is inviting and warm, while at the same time sleek and modern.
